New Delhi, 28 Ferbruary 25 I Delhi’s PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh addressed the Assembly, supporting the Lieutenant Governor’s address and pledging to accelerate the development of Delhi. He made it clear that Delhi’s progress will no longer be confined to advertisements but will be seen on the streets where people need it the most.
Strict Action Against Rohingyas and Bangladeshis Holding Fake Ration Cards
Parvesh Sahib Singh announced that while his government will issue new ration cards to deserving citizens, it will also conduct a thorough investigation into existing ones.“If any Bangladeshi or Rohingya is found holding a ration card, it will be immediately canceled, and strict legal action will be taken,” he said.He further stated, “For years, a political conspiracy was at play to settle illegal infiltrators in Delhi, but that will end now. We will make Delhi safer and more organized. Only genuine beneficiaries will receive ration benefits, not illegal immigrants.”
After 27 Years, Modi Government is Bringing Real Change to Delhi
Parvesh Sahib Singh emphasized that after 27 years, Delhi has a real opportunity for transformation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.“This is the first time in nearly three decades that Delhi is witnessing decisive governance under the BJP, guided by PM Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’. The development of Delhi is now aligned with the aspirations of New India,” he said.He further added, “This government is not just the result of the hard work of millions of BJP workers, but it is also inspired by the vision and guidance of the RSS. Our governance is built on commitment and dedication.”He stressed that Delhi’s problems are not just local but national in nature, given that it houses Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Supreme Court, and other crucial institutions. “We will transform Delhi into one of the world’s most beautiful and developed capitals,” he assured.
Liquor Policy Destroyed Thousands of Families
Lashing out at the Kejriwal government’s failed liquor policy, Parvesh Sahib Singh blamed it for ruining thousands of families.“Liquor shops were deliberately opened near schools and colleges, targeting young students. This reckless policy destroyed thousands of families in Delhi,” he said.Citing real-life examples, he spoke about Moni Das from Bengali Camp, a widow who lost both her sons to alcohol addiction. Similarly, Barkha Mahraulia from Prince Park lost her husband due to excessive drinking enabled by Kejriwal’s policies.“These are not just isolated incidents. Thousands of women in Delhi have suffered because of Arvind Kejriwal’s reckless liquor policy. The people of Delhi will hold him accountable,” he asserted.
A Leader Who Lives in a Palace Cannot Understand the Pain of the Poor
Parvesh Sahib Singh slammed Kejriwal for his luxurious lifestyle, calling him disconnected from the struggles of ordinary Delhiites.“While the people of Delhi struggled with water shortages, traffic jams, and sanitation problems, Arvind Kejriwal was busy installing gold-plated toilet seats in his palace. When Delhi was battling the pandemic, he was relaxing in his ‘Sheesh Mahal’,” he remarked.He assured that his government’s priority will not be luxury palaces but clean water, sanitation, and essential services for slum dwellers.
Real Development Will Be Visible in Delhi
Parvesh Sahib Singh promised that Delhi will now witness real and tangible development.“We will create a new heritage and cultural center, expand the metro network, construct new roads, and resolve traffic congestion issues. Our goal is to make Delhi one of the best capital cities in the world,” he said.Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare policies, he assured that the BJP government will take care of every section of society.“As per our manifesto, women will receive ₹2,500 per month in financial aid, and this promise will be fulfilled. Needy families will receive free gas cylinders during Holi and Diwali, and LPG will be available for ₹500 throughout the year. The BJP always delivers on its promises,” he added.
Corrupt Leaders Will Face Action
Parvesh Sahib Singh assured that a full investigation will be conducted into the corruption of Arvind Kejriwal and his associates.“Delhi has witnessed multiple scams, including the classroom scam, Mohalla Clinic scam, Yamuna cleaning scam, and the advertisement scam. All of them will be thoroughly investigated. Arvind Kejriwal will not see the outside of Tihar Jail in this lifetime,” he declared.
A New Expressway of Development – No U-Turns
Concluding his speech, Parvesh Sahib Singh stated that every obstacle in Delhi’s development will be removed.“We are building a new expressway of progress in Delhi—one that will not be blocked by corruption, inefficiency, or political gimmicks. Under PM Modi’s leadership, Delhi will finally see real development, not just hoardings and false promises.”
