Journउtsav’25: A Landmark Celebration of Creativity, Collaboration, and Excellence!”

New Delhi, 11 Febuary Journउtsav’25, the much-anticipated annual media fest of Tarseel, the Department of Journalism at Bharati College, University of Delhi unfolded with a series of impactful sessions. The two-day media fest, held on 7th and 8th February 2025, was organised under the able guidance of
Hon’ble Principal Prof. Saloni Gupta and the faculty members of the Department of Journalism.

The event began with the keynote address by Dr. Vineet Kumar, a distinguished media critic and author on “Popular Culture, Politics, and the News: Journalism in the Present Media Landscape,”
shedding light on the evolving role of media in contemporary society.

A lively panel discussion took place featuring Himanshi Dahiya, journalist at The Quint, Meena Kotwal, journalist and founder of Mooknayak, and Ankur Paliwal, independent journalist and founder of Queerbeat, as passionate panelists. The discussion, titled “Representation, Diversity, and Inclusion: The Impact of Media on Identity and Culture,” saw experts debating the role of media in shaping societal narratives.

The seminar “Unalone,” delivered by Divya Dubey, focused on raising awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting emotional well-being, offering valuable insights into mental health and fostering a supportive conversation around it.

The day ended on a high note as teams battled it out in the street play competition, “Halla Bol,” judged by Tarun Kohli, theatre actor and director. The performances, centered on social issues, were both impactful and filled with energy.

Day two of Journउtsav’25 showcased a thought-provoking panel discussion by Divya Misra, Aryan Saraswat, and Shah Umair which explored social media virality, engaging the audience with insightful perspectives.

The Star Performer of Journउtsav’25, Rahul Makin, a renowned Radio Artist, Actor, and Influencer, made the media fest unforgettable with his captivating live performance, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.

Journउtsav’25 was a grand success, witnessing a humongous footfall, engaging stalls, and an atmosphere filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
